Juan V Orozco
for Ukiah City Council

*Bridging the gap, one step at a time*

The residents of the City of Ukiah are better represented ever since I was elected to the City Council four years ago. There is more employee diversity in our city staff. I bring a different perspective to the Ukiah City Council

Who is Juan Orozco?

Juan is a first-generation immigrant residing in Ukiah since 1997. He is a family man first and foremost. Mr Orozco knows first hand the value of hard work and a good education. He has gone from being a farmworker to teaching in a classroom. He is truly a testimony to the "American Dream". Juan is immensely grateful of the opportunity that his new home country has given him. This is why he is committed to do all that he can to support those around him, regardless of who they are, or where they come from.

In my last four years in the council...

The city of Ukiah has tremendously improved access to services for non-English speakers. I have had the honor of ribbon cutting and inaugurating the opening of the Streetscape in the downtown area.
I have been instrumental in starting a  Diversity and Equity Committee for our city. During my tenure, a lot of affordable housing has been made available in several locations in the city.
Dora street repaving, water line replacement, and ADA-compliant wheelchair ramps, all have been done while I have been on the City Council.
I have supported many of the projects now finished as well as those that are currently in progress for our City.
I am proud of the acquisition of property on the Western Hills for nature preservation and recreation. I put in countless hours building new hiking trails on this new property.

WHY YOU SHOULD VOTE FOR ME

Vote on or before, September the 8th, 2022

The Latino residents of Ukiah is an ever-growing ethnic group, and it needs to be represented at all levels of our government. My commitment to our community encourages others to take part in their civic obligations as citizens of Ukiah. The new generations of Latinos need role models.
